The sky and bowling

A few days ago I took this picture of the sky outside, it was nice. The last few days it has been odd- the weather seems to think like its early May, not late March. Oh well, at least I get to wear my jeans once or twice while the temperature flirts with the high teens. We went bowling last night, and that was fun. Craige- what a place.

Hmmm

Well, the world is not without its sense of irony. Or timing for that matter. Just as I get a job, my car dies- I hope its only something small, something around the 300 dollar range so I can crawl out of all this alive.
On another note, I went to the place where I work tonight for some food and such, and found it to be tasty but slightly on the pricy side. Thats what you get for it being an oceanside venue I guess.

No longer a pauper

It is with great happiness and relief that I report of my newly found status as a kitchen hand at the hotel down the road from my house. Its a relief to know that money is now going to be trickling into my account and I get to choose my hours liberally. Now I can start saving the cash for another trip to the States perhaps, or maybe some other material pleasure? Only time will tell how it shall be spent. But 10 points for getting another thing off my list of "things to do" in such speedy fashion. Let me tell everyone the story.
I woke up this morning with some intention of reading the job section in the paper- but having woken and finding mum with the very job that I got circled, I later emailed my resume and assumed that I would not be hearing anything for some time. Alas, I was called that very afternoon only hours after I had emailed my resume' in. I do love technology in this account, giving me such a fast turn around time. To cut a long story short, I was told to come in at 7 and this was it. I was not sure what exactly I would be doing, I didnt even know that I had the job, but went in thinking I was going to be interviewed or something.
Not so. I was thrown in front of the dishwasher and put to work. Oh the noisy and chaotic thrum of a kitchen. Three hours later I was clearing up and handed the paperwork, and the option of choosing my hours.
Needless to say, this was a perfect gig for me. Choice of hours, good rates and proximity.
I am now a working man again, not a pauper of little means.

here i go again

Another post, long after the last. but then again my life is busy and full of things that seem to make me forget that I supposed to be doing this. Most of the things that needed to be done in the first post are still at large, as I find myself frantically trying to get my whole life rolling again in the short space of 3 weeks. I don't know what is going on, but I am sure it will work itself out after a few more days of thinking, doing and praying.
